A video showing how to upgrade the memory on the Acer Aspire One.
This is the last battle in the countdown to my new team, the most recent pass I created before this one, the Brooke Pass. You can probably see the theme pretty well here: There’s nothing but Water Pokémon in this team. I designed it to go up against Electric and Grass Pokémon, who’d invariably show up. You can see the sheer potency of a move like Tailwind when it allows Pelipper to outrun Crobat and deliver the finishing blow to it. People should use Tailwind more often. Too bad so few Pokémon actually learn Tailwind. It’s a bold move to use Rain Dance against a team like this, and it ultimately worked in my favor, as Seaking’s Swift Swim took effect and got the drop on Jolteon. Well! Now that things are hunky-dorey again, time for the next Friend Code Contest! I have six slots remaining in my PBR roster, and I have six Pokémon on my newest team (of course). I may attempt this when I have the time to sit do all the steps at once. I need to upgrade my Acer Aspite One ZG5. I got it for $99 at Goodwill because someone set (and forgot) a BIOS password). One flash later and I have a great little machine.

what kind of XP themes was that at the end?
@tjs1957tube Plus, only one of the two memory sticks are upgradeable, one is soldered/glued/whatevered to the motherboard.

I have two 1GB sticks that I just took out of my son’s eMachines Black Friday Walmart laptop and had planned on upgrading a friend’s Acer Aspire One AOD255-2509 Netbook from 1GB to 2GB, but if this is what I’d be up against, I’m throwing in the towel before I even make the attempt. (And I also understand that opening up the Netbook voids the warranty (not confirmed))

Hey I’m mighty apreciative of this video, I have a AOA 150 also, it varried a bit from yours but got it done, thank you very much for making my life just a little bit easier. now I have 1.5gb and 150HDD. running w7 and Jolicloud. Oh and this little bugger came with a battery issue that was taken care of with a bios flash, but then I bought a 6cell batt. on Ebay for 28 dlls and not I’m styling.
at the end you wrote you used pc5300? is it pc25300? is there a difference?
i just followed these directions to but a new bottom panel on my aspire. By the time i had the memory chip exposed, there were only six screws left. sigh.
Oh my God. That’s major surgery there. I just wanted to upgrade the ram, not take apart the entire computer. Now I am having second thoughts about this

@ivorbggn i have the model he’s using here, and there isn’t a memory panel on the bottom. For whatever reason they must have redesigned the motherboard or something but not the case because i actually have a panel you can take off on the bottom but there isn’t anything at all under it.
The description of this video should updated to specify the model # being worked on. Older models (e.g. AOA150) lacked the current “upgrade hatch” near the front vents, which saves all this labor.
Also, it looks like the camera is permanently out of focus, unless that’s just video compression. I’d like to see this surgery in clearer detail.

@mellowjello4 Plus, in the hand-held console games, surf gets you across water. I have a quagsire who knew Muddy water. I think I replaced the move with surf.
How does a “relaxing” waterfall increase concentration, exactly?

@Netherw1nd You’re actually wrong, both Muddy Water and Surf has the same Base power which is 95, but Muddy Water has less accuracy than Surf.
Muddy Water – BP(Base Power) = 95
Acc – 85%
Surf – BP (Base Power) = 95%
Acc = 100%
