Kelis The Chef?

Her facial expression says it all. We guess money really is drying up for Kelis as the star says she's looking into pursuing a career in the culinary arts.

The first step for Kelis will be launching her own line of food sauces. Kelis says that she took up an interest in sauces after taking a course at London culinary school, Le Cordon Bleu. "I want to have my own sauce line. I became a saucier in school. I love the lifestyle of a great meal. I think food, fashion and music all go together when it's done right."

In addition to becoming a "saucier," the "Bossy" singer also revealed she has a thing for wine. "I also want to get my sommelier certification, which I'm going to do eventually. I love the whole thing. I want to go back to school too."

Kelis took the food course after being dropped by her record label in 2007. "I took some time off. I really just shut down, even to the point where I was like, I don't want to sing anymore. I went to culinary school and just regrouped and got my heart back for music."

Things in the music scene have turned around though as Kelis recently signed with Interscope Records and is working with will.i.am on her next album.
